Proton Patient Starts Unique Survivor Support Group

Andover Advertiser - 25th of December, 2016 / James Robinson, Reporter

A British gentleman, Joe Tuftnell, was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2012. He didn't have the option of proton therapy locally and carried out his treatment in Prague. After being cancer free since 2013 he has decided to start a survivorship club called the 'Proton Ambassadors Group'. It doesn't just focus on patients, they also share their experiences with local UK practitioners to raise awareness.

Mr. Tuftnell added: “I want British men to be informed about all available options. No man has to suffer during and after prostate cancer treatment.”
