Jay Baranek

Vice President of Construction

Jay Beranek has nearly 40 years of experience in healthcare and highly technical facility design, construction and programing. Prior to joining Proton International in 2014, Jay was responsible for the successful design, construction and occupancy of four ProCure proton cancer treatment centers in the U.S., each valued between $30 and $35 million — more than any other such entity worldwide. Jay now leads the design and construction management for our proton center at University Medical Center in Groningen, The Netherlands. He has developed new project and program delivery processes and instilled them into the Design Build Teams systems that have redefined “successful project delivery.” As a result of this new process, team members develop a specific culture that operates with precision and allowing them to have fun at the same time. Jay is a graduate of Purdue University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, and also from Indiana University, receiving a Master of Science in Business and Public Management.
